Mesut Ozil made the bench against Tottenham last weekend but is yet to make an Arsenal appearance this season.
The German playmaker has been one of the Gunners’ key men over the past six years, however, it feels as if the 30-year-old is starting to slip down the pecking order at the Emirates.
Unai Emery brought in Dani Ceballos from Real Madrid on a season-long loan over the summer to bolster Arsenal’s attacking midfield options, and the Spaniard has been a regular in the first four league games.
Arsenal haven’t forgotten about Ozil though, and shared a quiz on the German on Thursday, asking the Gunners faithful to name all 64 players the midfielder has played alongside during his six-year stay in North London.
However, these Arsenal fans weren’t interested in taking part in the quiz and instead called for Emery to play the German following the international break.
@WakibiZ: I personally want to see him back at the pitch
@sanket_marwah75: Don’t care. Just play him next week
@Unai_Emeryates: Please allow him to add to his appearance numbers by playing him more
@DammitArsenal: Give him the Captain’s Armband and let him dictate our play again for 90 mins

It’s surely only a matter of time until Emery hands Ozil a first start of the season. Everyone knows the German has the quality to cement his place in the side, however, his work rate off the ball appears to be one issue for Emery.
But just think, Ozil in behind a front three of Nicolas Pepe, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette, it’s a scary proposition for any Premier League defence.
His ability to consistently feed the formidable front three should be on Emery’s mind, but we’ll just have to wait and see if Ozil gets the nod at Vicarage Road next Sunday.
