Arsenal fans are loving this Mkhitaryan-Sanchez financial statistic

It’s fair to say, the deal between Arsenal and Manchester United regarding Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Alexis Sanchez in January 2018 didn’t work out for anyone.

Both players have now completed season-long loan moves to Serie A, with Mkhitaryan joining AS Roma and Sanchez joining Romelu Lukaku at Inter Milan.

And according to the Daily Mail, cited by LTArsenal, Sanchez has cost United £24.9m in wages alone, while Mkhitaryan has set Arsenal back £15.1m in salary during his 19-month stint at the Emirates.

The Gunners did recieve a loan fee in the region of £3m-£4m for the Armenian, but Manchester United will still have to pay a large percentage of the Chilean’s salary while at the San Siro.

And these Arsenal fans took to social media to reply to the story, with many singling out praise for transfer guru ‘Don’ Raul Sanllehi for his work.

In terms of on-field performances, both clubs lost. Mkhitaryan enjoyed a consistent first few months in an Arsenal shirt, however, over the past 12 months, the Armenian has struggled under Unai Emery.

Meanwhile, Sanchez scored just five times for United and provided nine assists in his 45 games for the club, a dismal record for a player who is on a basic salary of £391,000-a-week.

According to Goal, that works out at £11m per goal, £6.1m per assist and £2.5m per shot on target, funny viewing if you don’t support the Red Devils.

Both sides will now be glad to see the back of their respective player’s who have headed out on loan to Italian sides and will want to forget as soon as possible. the deal they struck 19 months ago.
