Arsenal boss Unai Emery has said that Mesut Ozil is free to regain his position in the first-team squad, according to the Mirror.
This could be a good decision from Emery and a great chance for Ozil, who hasn’t performed to his best for some time now.
With Dani Ceballos joining the club on loan over the summer, where will the German fit in this season with regular first-team football no longer guranteed?

The midfielder hasn’t appeared in any games for the Gunners this season, but was an unused subsitute during the North London derby against Spurs on Sunday.
Speaking about the player’s future, Emery said:
With Mesut Ozil it’s the same message to him that I can say to you: We need him – and him firstly to be consistent in training, to be available in each match.
This shows that Emery has faith in Ozil and does see a great player in him, like all fans have done in the past.
If he was to return to his best, Arsenal would have one of the best creative midfielders in the league, and if he works hard, we could see that happening very soon.
Emery has made it clear that he wants to see hard work in training from Ozil so it will not be easy for the former German international to make an immediate return.
I think this is a great decision from Emery. Not only is he sending a message to a quality player, but also to all of his players – if you work hard in training, you’ll play every week.
It’s a great philosophy to have as manager and one that will be beneficial for the players also.
