Arsenal were fairly busy in the final few days of the European window in terms of departures.
Nacho Monreal ended his six-year association with the club to join Real Sociedad, while Mohamed Elneny and Henrikh Mkhitaryan completed season-long loan moves to Besiktas and AS Roma respectively.

However, one move that also went through under the radar was Kelechi Nwakali’s permanent deal to Spanish second division side SD Huesca.
The Nigeria international initially made the move to the Emirates back in 2016, however, he failed to make a senior appearance for the Gunners during his three-year stay and was loaned out to the likes of MVV Maastricht, VVV-Venlo and Porto B.
And these Arsenal fans took to social media to respond to the news of Nwakali’s departure.

Unfortunately for Nwakali and Arsenal, he endured some work permit problems which appeared to have played a role in his permanent Gunners exit.
The 21-year-old clearly has the ability to succeed at the top level. Nwakali first caught the eye of Arsenal officials following his excellent displays at the 2015 U17 World Cup, winning the Golden Ball award as a result.
He’ll now be hoping that a permanent move away from London can help him cement himself as a first-team regular, and impressive performances this season could well end up attracting interest from other European giants in the future.
