Matteo Guendouzi excelled in the North London derby against Tottenham on Sunday, producing an exquisite pass which allowed Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to equalise in the second half.
The Frenchman also impressed with his usual aggressive defensive style and was the pick of Arsenal’s three holding midfielders alongside Lucas Torreira and Granit Xhaka.

The club’s official twitter page quickly showed their love for the midfielder following the final whistle, sharing this tweet regarding the 20-year-old.

It’s easy to see why Guendouzi is becoming a clear fan favourite at the Emirates.
He turns up in the big games and his passion towards the club is clear for all to see.
The youngster has shown great maturity during his 13-month stint in London, and still just 20 years old, he has plenty of time to improve on his already impressive game.
More performances like the one on Sunday will only strengthen his case as a Gunners’ favourite, and Unai Emery will find it hard to drop the holding midfielder in the coming weeks.
