# Arsenal fans react to Juventus’ shock interest in Mustafi

Juventus are reportedly considering a shock move to sign Arsenal defender Shkodran Mustafi, according to Sky Germany.

[As cited on social media by @afcstuff](https://twitter.com/afcstuff/status/1168297699491418112?s=20), the player is being touted as a potential replacement for the injured Giorgio Chiellini.

Such is the form he has shown at Arsenal in recent months, it would be a transfer that would surprise a lot of supporters.

Judging by these reactions across social media, it would be a popular move with some fans, but spare a thought for Aaron Ramsey!

### Read Arsenal verdict

There would’ve been plenty of Arsenal supporters who would’ve hoped to see Shkodran Mustafi leave the club before the end of the European transfer window.

There wouldn’t have been many predicting that he could potentially end up at Juventus.

A club who have been renowned for their traditionally Italian defensive stability – a statement that doesn’t exactly line up with the German defender.

With Chiellini’s injury, it’s likely that Mustafi would be no more than a squad depth option in Turin, so it’s easy to see why a deal works for them, but it’s certainly one that would leave a lot of Gunners fans shaking their head.
