Real expecting huge offer from Arsenal for Ceballos – is he worth it?

Real Madrid are expecting Arsenal to make a massive offer for midfielder Dani Ceballos in the upcoming transfer window.

According to Defensa Central, Real Madrid are sending scouts to watch Ceballos against Tottenham in the North London derby.

The report claims that there is no option to buy in Arsenal’s loan deal, which will force them to make a substantial bid for the midfielder.

It is claimed that Arsenal would need to break their transfer record to land Ceballos, but is he worth it?

Arsenal are said to have paid £72m for Nicolas Pepe over the summer, which means that they would have to exceed that figure to sign Ceballos either in January or next summer.

Although he has shown flashes of brilliance, particularly against Burnley, he still has plenty to prove. He struggled to affect the game against Liverpool and failed to impose himself in midfield.

Until he is able to show that he can dominate the midfield and make the difference in big games, against the top six, then Arsenal should avoid making any record-breaking offers for the Spaniard.
