Arsenal fans react to Harry Kane’s dive

Arsenal supporters have mocked Harry Kane for his dive late on Sunday’s 2-2 draw, with the Tottenham striker throwing himself into Sokratis Papastathopoulos in an attempt to win a penalty.

Kane had earlier put Spurs 2-0 from the spot, doubling their lead after Christian Eriksen opened the scoring on Sunday.

Alexandre Lacazette pulled one back moments before halftime to start the comeback, and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang equalised in the second-half.

In an attempt to earn a late penalty and potentially win the tie, Kane threw himself into Sokratis in the area, but did not fool the referee, who awarded Arsenal a free-kick to the delight of these supporters.

Kane certainly does himself no favours by continuing to throw himself to the ground in order to win a penalty.

It was a clear simulation in an attempt to con the referee into awarding a spot kick and give Tottenham the chance to win late on, which begs the question as to why he wasn’t booked by the referee.
