Harry Kane has denied any suggestions that Tottenham will look to single out David Luiz during Sunday’s derby.
The Brazilian is preparing to feature in his first North London derby game but Kane is refusing to be drawn into suggestions that the defender could be Arsenal’s weak link after his ropey performance against Liverpool.
Speaking to the Daily Mail, Kane said:
We’ll never specifically target one player and try to pick on him. I think David Luiz is a very, very good player – we all make mistakes, we all have bad performances as professionals, so there’s no reason he can’t have a good game on Sunday.
However, after his performance at Anfield, should Arsenal fans have their concerns?

Following his move from Chelsea over the summer, a number of fans voiced their concerns about Luiz given his reputation for being a little haphazard at the back.
The warning signs were there and their worst fears came true against the Reds at Anfield.
Gary Neville described the penalty incident as a ‘typical David Luiz moment’ during Sky Sports’ coverage of the game and that really is the best way to explain his performance.
Luiz looked calm and composed throughout large stages of the game and then it was all quickly overshadowed by two unforgivable decisions.
He found himself the wrong side of Mohamed Salah and couldn’t help but pull him back and then as a result, was left helpless near the halfway line when he knew he couldn’t make a challenge to deny his former Chelsea team-mate of a second goal. Arsenal supporters will be praying that he avoids a repeat of that against Spurs.
He was signed to become a leader within this Gunners squad and it’s in games like this one where they need him at his very best. Any more of the same in another big match and serious questions will need to be asked.
