Tanguy Ndombele will not be involved in Sunday’s North London derby, despite previous suggestions that Mauricio Pochettino would make a late check on the player.
According to football.london, as cited on social media, the French midfielder could have given Tottenham a major fitness boost ahead of the game.
However, it has since been revealed that the player will now play no part in the game.
Spurs’ summer signing missed the defeat to Newcastle and after becoming an important figure within their side, some had been hoping to see him back in time for the derby.
However, judging by these reactions on social media, a number of Tottenham fans believe he could now be out for a while.

Without wishing an injury upon a player, Ndombele’s absence will be a huge bonus for the Gunners.
While there’s no indication that the player could be facing two months on the sidelines, it is unclear when he will return to action.
Such is the importance of Sunday’s game, it’s one that could be decided by the midfield battles.
With many tipping Lucas Torreira to come back into the side, Arsenal could look to outmuscle Spurs in the middle of the park.
Ndombele has averaged a 7.68 rating on WhoScored during the games he has featured in this season, the highest rating of any Spurs player – a statistic that only highlights his importance to Pochettino’s side.
