Ainsley Maitland-Niles is just one of a number of Arsenal youngsters who have impressed over the past 12 months.
The 22-year-old has been a regular under Unai Emery since March, featuring in all but two of the Gunners’ last 18 competitive fixtures.
The versatile star, who has plied his trade at right-back in recent months, hasn’t missed a minute of Premier League action this season and looks set to face a fierce battle with Hector Bellerin for a regular starting spot when the Spaniard returns next month.
And the Gunners shared this brilliant reaction clip from the right-back on their Twitter page on the player’s birthday, a video from after he set up Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang in the 1-0 win over Newcastle United, with the caption ‘Arsenal through and through’.

And these Gunners fans were quick to reply to the video, with many heaping praise on the full-back.

Maitland-Niles, Joe Willock and Reiss Nelson have all now established themselves in the senior side over the past 12 months, so it’ll be interesting to see what Emery does with Maitland-Niles when Bellerin returns.
The youngster looks set to start again on Sunday in the North London derby against Spurs, a game the boyhood Gunners fan knows all about.
If he continues to impress at right-back, he may well be in line to continue his long run in the side, and the player knows first hand that nothing is given at the Emirates, everything must be earned.
