Tottenham fans urge Pochettino to start Lo Celso against Arsenal

Even though Arsenal lost their unbeaten record against Liverpool last weekend, they still sit two points clear of rivals Tottenham Hotspur ahead of this weekend’s North London derby.

Spurs also suffered their first defeat of the new season last weekend, as Newcastle United shocked Mauricio Pochettino’s side with a 1-0 win.

The Argentine is now expected to ring the changes ahead of the short trip to the Emirates.

Summer signing Giovani Lo Celso could be in line for a first start after joining from Real Betis in a deal worth £55 million.

And these Tottenham fans took to social media to urge Pochettino to hand his fellow countryman a first start this weekend after the club posted images of the midfielder in training.

The 23-year-old has featured in just 35 minutes of Premier League action this season, so he’ll definitely be in line for a first start if Pochettino decides to seriously shuffle his side.

Despite struggling to make a serious impact in his two cameo appearances against Manchester City and Newcastle United, the playmaker would more than likely benefit from a start before the international break.

The attacking midfielder excelled in a central role for his previous employers, and if he is handed a similar role on Sunday, he could cause havoc in the hole.

Lo Celso has the ability to dribble past players with ease, as well as boasting an impressive passing range and a real eye for goal.

His ability to pull the strings in midfield and draw fouls in dangerous areas could prove crucial for Spurs across the campaign, which could potentially start this Sunday against the Gunners.
