# Arsenal fans share mixed views as Iwobi nets first Everton goal

Alex Iwobi netted his first goal for Everton on Wednesday evening as they advanced to the third round of the EFL Cup with an entertaining 4-2 win over League One side Lincoln City.

The 23-year-old, who made the move to Goodison Park on deadline day in a deal worth £35 million, scored a late header to give Marco Silva’s side the lead at Sincil Bank.

### Read Arsenal verdict

The Nigerian, who spent 15 years in total with Arsenal, may prove to be a big miss at the Emirates.

Despite the Gunners bolstering their wide attacking ranks over the summer by smashing their club-record deal for Ivorian, Nicolas Pepe, Iwobi appears to be getting better and better each year.

Many believed that the creative winger had plenty of potential to become an Arsenal great, however, his final ball ability came in for plenty of criticism.

The forward scored 11 times and provided 16 assists in 100 Premier League appearances for the Gunners, averaging a goal involvement every four games.

However, if he can continue his solid start on Merseyside and improve his goal involvement ratio, Arsenal may well look back on the sale with frustration.
