Arsenal were drawn against Nottingham Forest in the third round of the EFL Cup on Wednesday evening.
Forest, who brushed aside fierce rivals Derby County in the second round, will now make the trip to the Emirates in the week commencing 23 September.
The meeting will also see the return of former Arsenal defender Carl Jenkinson, who completed a permanent move to the City Ground over the summer.

And these Arsenal fans took to social media to share these brilliant replies to the club’s post regarding the 27-year-old.

Even though the versatile defender failed to really nail down a regular starting spot during his eight-year stay at the Emirates, the majority of Gunners fans have plenty of time for Jenkinson.
He never moaned at being loaned out or left out the side completely and was a real professional, something which Arsenal fans truly appreciate.
He’ll surely feature for the Reds next month, providing he doesn’t suffer any injury scares over the coming weeks, and will more than likely receive a great ovation by both sets of supporters.
