Mohamed Elneny looks set to leave Arsenal and join Besiktas on a season-long loan, according to the Daily Mail.
The report states that the Egyptian was also wanted by French side Bordeaux, however, he’ll now head to Turkey in search for regular game time.
The holding midfielder featured just 17 times in all competitions last season and has fallen further down the pecking order this season due to the rise of youngster Joe Willock.

And these Arsenal fans were quick to reply to the news on social media, with many sharing their relief over the midfielder’s imminent departure.

The proposed move is a good one for all involved.
Arsenal will get the player off their wage bill, while Besiktas will be securing the services of an international midfielder.
The 27-year-old has struggled to impress Unai Emery and will now get the chance to cement his place in Besiktas’ side, while also getting the chance to feature in European competition.
The Turkish giants will feature in the Europa League alongside Arsenal, and even though a string of impressive performances will probably not be enough to force his way back into the Gunners side next season, he’ll give himself the best chance of gaining a permanent move to a high profile side next summer.
