It’s fair to say that there is still a lot more to come from club-record signing Nicolas Pepe.
The wide man, who joined from Lille in a deal worth £72 million, was handed his first start in an Arsenal shirt in the 3-1 defeat to Liverpool.
Pepe had a glorious opportunity to open the scoring at Anfield, however, his first-half effort was saved by Adrian.
Despite this, a stat from Squaka, cited by AFTV Media, revealed that the winger has completed more take-ons than any other player this season with 12.

And these Arsenal fans were quick to react to the statistic, with plenty of supporters heaping praise on the Ivorian.

Even though we all know that Pepe can breeze past defenders with ease, it is surprising to see him top the charts for take-ons after starting in just one of the three opening games for the Gunners.
The 24-year-old has featured in 155 minutes of Premier League football, which works out to be a successful dribble just under every 13 minutes.
Following his impressive start, we wouldn’t be surprised to see Pepe stay at the top of the individual leaderboard for the remainder of the campaign.
The left-footed forward will be hoping to rack up more take-ons against Tottenham this Sunday, which will hopefully lead to a goal involvement at the Emirates.
