[As confirmed by Goal’s Charles Watts](https://twitter.com/charles_watts/status/1166275101442158592?s=20), Atkinson will be tasked with officiating the derby game and the news has gone down well with a number of Arsenal supporters.

While it’s Atkinson who will be in charge, Paul Tierney is the man that has these fans excited judging by these reactions on social media.

### Read Arsenal verdict

There is no relation between the two, but Kieran Tierney’s namesake has a lot fans excited about Sunday’s game.

Arsenal supporters will be quick to remind Tottenham about their recent misfortune with VAR.

Harry Kane was denied a late penalty during the defeat to Newcastle through the use of the technology.

Some have even joked that it’s about time that Spurs were on the wrong end of VAR after their famous win against Manchester City in the Champions League last season.

With or without VAR, this is set to be an exciting affair between two sides who both come into the game looking to improve on their recent defeats.
