# Arsenal fans aren’t happy ahead of Monreal’s likely Sociedad move

It appears as if Nacho Monreal’s six-year association with Arsenal may well come to an end in the coming days.

The Spaniard has been heavily tipped to make the move to Real Sociedad before the European window slams shut.

And according to [talkSPORT](https://talksport.com/football/592956/arsenal-transfer-real-sociedad-nacho-monreal/), the La Liga side are confident of finalising a deal for the left-back, with the Spanish outfit offering the 33-year-old a two-year deal.

Monreal, who made the move to the Emirates from Malaga in a deal worth £8.5 million back in 2013, has been a regular for the Gunners, lifting three FA Cups during his time in England.

However, these Arsenal fans aren’t too happy over the experienced defender’s potential Emirates exit.

### Read Arsenal verdict

It seems a strange call to allow Monreal to leave before the end of the summer window.

New left-back Kieran Tierney isn’t expected to be fit until October, which would leave Sead Kolasinac as the only senior left-back until the Scot’s ready to make his long-awaited Gunners debut.

The Spaniard has featured in every minute under Unai Emery this season, so Emery clearly prefers Monreal over the Bosnian.

Keeping the 33-year-old on the books until January may well be a better call, however, it appears as if Sociedad are confident of sealing a move before the deadline.

A proposed move will certainly anger some Arsenal supporters if it does go through.
