Paul Merson tends to make some controversial claims when discussing football.
And the former Arsenal man has done it yet again when talking about the upcoming North London derby.
Both Arsenal and Tottenham lost their unbeaten starts to the campaign last weekend with defeats to Liverpool and Newcastle United respectively.

And now Merson, talking to Sky Sports, cited by the Metro, believes that the Gunners will be the ones to bounce back in style this Sunday.
I think Arsenal should expect to win this game, which is unreal, really. Tottenham will be well pleased with a draw, well pleased.
I think Arsenal will win the game quite comfortably, 4-1. I think they will rip Tottenham to shreds.
I think Tottenham are struggling at the moment and if Arsenal get going then they could score a few.
These Arsenal and Tottenham fans were quick to react to the news on social media, with some Spurs fans agreeing with Merson following their poor performance against the Magpies.

You know things are bad at Spurs when a proportion of their fans are agreeing with a former Arsenal man tipping the Gunners to demolish them in the North London derby.
However, Arsenal shouldn’t be made heavy favourites for the meeting.
Yes, they sit two points clear of their rivals, however, both sides have shown frailties in the opening fixtures.
The Gunners ran out 4-2 winners last December in a thrilling Premier League encounter at the Emirates, and they’ll have to be at that level again if they are to match Merson’s 4-1 prediction.
