Arsenal and Leeds fans are as one when it comes to Eddie Nketiah.
The 20-year-old, who joined the Whites on a season-long loan on deadline day, has made quite the impact with the Championship heavyweights.
The striker needed just four minutes to find the net on his first Championship appearance, scoring the only goal late on Wednesday evening to give the Whites a 1-0 win over Brentford.
And the forward was quick to heap praise on the Leeds fans following his dramatic impact in the week.
Talking to the Whites’ official website, Nketiah, who received a huge cheer from the Elland Road crowd shortly before coming on against Brentford, said:
To get the three points, to finally get out there at Elland Road and play in front of the fans it was a dream come true.
It’s a dream come true to have the fans take to you so early on, and I’m going to continue to give my all to this club, so hopefully they’ll appreciate that.
It was great to get the three points, but to mark it off with a goal I couldn’t be happier. In the games I’ve played so far I feel like I’ve done well and scored in both so that’s all I can do.
The atmosphere was really good, as soon as you walk out of the tunnel you can hear the fans shouting and screaming, I think it’s really good for the players, it urges us on especially when we need a goal and it gives us that extra energy.
And these Leeds fans were quick to respond to the forward’s comments on social media.

It’s no surprise Leeds fans have taken to Nketiah so quickly. The pacey youngster has a brilliant attitude both on and off the pitch and has that confident swagger needed in a striker.
His two goals for the Whites have been extremely similar and he has now given manager Marcelo Bielsa a real selection headache ahead of the trip to Stoke City.
Everyone associated with Arsenal and Leeds will be hoping that the forward continues his bright start at Elland Road, and an impressive stint in Yorkshire could result in the striker forcing his way into Unai Emery’s plans next season.
