However, many have questioned the decision to use the navy blue kit on Merseyside this weekend as Unai Emery’s side look to continue their 100% record in the Premier League.

After a successful start to the season on in the road in yellow, why change? It seems strange to make the decision to use the navy blue kit for the first time at Anfield, with Liverpool set to turn out in their traditional red kit.

It shouldn’t make a difference on the pitch, however, it could make for a slight kit clash for some viewers with both sides in dark strips.

The meeting on Saturday evening looks set to be a thriller, and supporters of both Arsenal and Liverpool will be hoping the Gunners’ choice to use their third kit doesn’t spoil the encounter.
