Arsenal and Leeds fans share love for Eddie Nketiah following late winner
Leeds United went back to the top of the Championship on Wednesday evening thanks to Arsenal loanee Eddie Nketiah.
The 20-year-old was introduced with just 14 minutes remaining by Marcelo Bielsa and needed just four minutes to make his mark.
Nketiah’s clever run to the back post allowed Helder Costa to find him, leaving the forward with the simplest of tap ins to give the Whites three crucial points.
Arsenal legend Ian Wright was in attendance at Elland Road for Nketiah’s first home appearance for Leeds and shared his brilliant reaction to the forward’s winner on social media.

He just can’t stop scoring. Over the last 100 minutes of action for Arsenal and Leeds combined, Nketiah has scored three times, so fans may not have to wait too much longer until he gets the nod from the start by Marcelo Bielsa.
Although his goal appeared relatively straightforward, it was his movement beforehand that allowed for the simplest of finishes.
The 20-year-old’s pace and intelligent positional awareness could cause havoc for Championship defences for the remainder of his loan spell in Yorkshire.
So far, so good for Nketiah and Leeds.
