# “Great mindset” – Arsenal fans react to Pepe’s ambitious comments

It’s safe to say, the majority of Arsenal supporters were over the moon when Nicolas Pepe arrived at the Emirates over the summer on a club-record deal.

However, the Ivorian is yet to start a game for the Gunners and has had to make do with two cameos off the bench against both Newcastle and Burnley.

He’s impressed in both substitute appearances and is now in line to make a first Arsenal start against Liverpool this weekend.

And the Gunners’ official twitter page shared these comments from Pepe, with the winger revealing his targets for the current campaign.

Pepe was already a fan favourite before even stepping onto the pitch. The former Lille man had plenty of sides after his services, however, he decided to link up with Unai Emery at the Emirates over various other European giants.

He may well get his chance to shine from the off on Merseyside this weekend, but don’t be surprised if Emery once again holds him back on the bench.

His time will eventually come, and his latest comments show just how driven he is during his debut campaign with the Gunners.
