These Arsenal fans react as Aubameyang talks up Gunners’ title chances

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang believes Arsenal can challenge for the Premier League title this season.

The Gunners have made an encouraging start to the campaign, winning their opening two games against Newcastle United and Burnley.

Unai Emery’s side face a big task this weekend, facing European champions Liverpool at Anfield – the only other top flight side with a 100 percent record.

Speaking to Canal+, Aubameyang says he thinks Arsenal can be in the title mix come May:

Whatever happens, that is the most important thing, the most important aim for us. To be back in the Champions’ League.

Aside from that, to fight for the title, we know very well that the big guns are ready but we are also ready and in any case we are going to give our all to match the big guns if possible.

Arsenal fans have been reacting to Aubameyang’s comments on Twitter.

Aubameyang’s opinion is sure to excite Arsenal supporters, as he aims big in 2019/20.

It’s still very early days in the season, however, and talk of a title charge remains premature.

Saturday’s trip to Liverpool will be a big gauge of where Arsenal are at currently – a positive result at the home of the Champions League holders would be significant.

Whatever happens, the Gunners are going to be an exciting proposition throughout the campaign and the early signs suggest there should be plenty of positivity among the fanbase.

matchday.
