We’ve got to evaluate some things in the short term and figure out where we might need to address going forward, so when January does roll around we’re going to be proactive again.

Arsenal have certainly shifted their approach in the transfer market. The emphatic defeat to Chelsea in the Europa League final appears to have been the catalyst for the change, so Gunners fans may look back on the 4-1 defeat as a blessing in disguise.

The comments from Kroenke are just what Arsenal fans needed to hear if they are to get back to challenging for numerous trophies on a regular basis.

An area Unai Emery could look to strengthen come January may well be the defence. Despite adding Luiz and Tierney on deadline day, the Gunners are still calling out for a dominant leader at the back to sure up their previous woes.

It’ll be interesting to see how much money Kroenke and co are willing to throw around in the January window, however, Arsenal fans will most definitely welcome the news.
