The Winners and Losers in Arsenal’s win over Burnley

Arsenal continued their 100% start to the season with a 2-1 win over Burnley on Saturday.

The Gunners appeared to be on course for a routine victory after Alexandre Lacazette, who was reinstalled to the starting line-up, struck early on. However, the Clarets hit back shortly before the interval through Ashley Barnes.

Unai Emery responded by bringing on club-record signing Nicolas Pepe for the second half, and his energy helped Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang strike just after the hour mark to seal the three points.

The Gunners now face two tough tests in the league, first of which is a trip to Merseyside to take on Liverpool.

Arsenal were on the wrong end of a 5-1 scoreline in the last meeting between the two sides, and the Gunners will be quietly confident of continuing their good form this season at Anfield.
