Alex Iwobi ended his 15-year association with Arsenal last Thursday by completing a big-money move to Everton on deadline day.
The Toffees paid around £35 million for the Nigerian’s services, with many Arsenal fans split down the middle over the Gunners’ decision to part ways with the wide man, despite the club bringing in Nicolas Pepe in a club-record deal.
Iwobi will now hope to cement himself as an Everton regular under Marco Silva, with the player linking up with former Gunners star Theo Walcott in a training exercise the Toffees posted on Wednesday.
And these Arsenal supporters were quick to reply to the Toffees’ post, with many heaping praise on the pair.

Both Iwobi and Walcott were great servants to the club, and it looks as if the pair both moved on at the right stages of their respective careers.
Walcott was falling out of favour under Arsene Wenger and rightly moved to Goodison Park back in 2018. Meanwhile, Iwobi found it difficult to nail down a regular starting spot under Unai Emery over the past 12 months, so a move to the Toffees looks to be best for all involved.
It will be interesting to see how Iwobi now performs on Merseyside, however, it appears as if the majority of Gunners supporters are right behind the 23-year-old.
