Arsenal opened up their Premier League campaign with a hard-fought 1-0 win over Newcastle United on Sunday.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s second-half strike was the difference between the two sides, with the Gunners earning an away shutout at the first time of asking.
There were plenty of standout performances at St James’ Park, with Unai Emery handing starts to Callum Chambers, Joe Willock and Reiss Nelson following impressive pre-season campaigns.
And it was Willock’s recovery tackle on Jonjo Shelvey in the first half that produced a brilliant reaction from Emery.
The video was shared by @GrimandiTweets_ on social media, with the Spaniard showing his appreciation as Willock stole the ball to start an Arsenal attack.

There’s no doubt about it, Arsene Wenger and Emery are two completely different emotional characters. Emery is quick to show his feelings at every given opportunity, whereas Wenger was mainly cool and calm in the dugout (apart from that famous rant at Old Trafford).
It appears as if the majority of Gunners supporters are really buying into Emery’s plans at the Emirates, and more reactions like this will only enhance his popularity in London.
