When Kieran Tierney left Celtic to join Arsenal, there were some suggestions from Hoops fans that he’d made a sideways move
Well, these Arsenal fans could not help but show some glee after Celtic lost to Cluj in the Champions League qualifying rounds, meaning they now drop into the Europa League qualifiers.

Would love to face Celtic in EL group stage, Tierney scoring would be perfect.

Read Arsenal Verdict
Without being disrespectful to Celtic, anyone making suggestions that a move to Arsenal wasn’t a step up for Tierney was, in our opinion, completely foolish. Whilst he left behind the chance to play Champions League football at Celtic, a move to Arsenal is better for his long-term career prospects.
Those Celtic fans who said KT was making a backwards move by leaving a potential Champions League team to join a Europa League team will likely feel a bit foolish now, and Arsenal fans are often quick to highlight such things on social media, as has been the case here.
