When the person in charge of the Arsenal Twitter account had the idea of praising new signing Dani Ceballos, they probably didn’t think they’d end up sending some Tottenham fans into fits of laughter, but that appears to be what they’ve done.
Ceballos, who is on loan at the Gunners from Real Madrid, made his first Arsenal appearance when he came off the bench in the 64th minute of the Gunners’ 1-0 win over Newcastle. The Arsenal account tweeted this about the Spaniard.
Good luck getting the ball off @DaniCeballos46 😅#HolaDani 🇪🇸 pic.twitter.com/wSTyn4Nxfu

These responses from some Spurs fans were not exactly what the Arsenal social team likely had in mind…
Lost possession 6 times in 26 minutes btw. https://t.co/NuPCZ9NKvE

Read Arsenal Verdict
One of the ‘joys’ of the modern world is social media and the ‘banter era’ that has come to football via Twitter.
Ceballos showed some signs of promise against Newcastle but he was on the pitch for less than half an hour, so it’d be foolish to judge him yet.
Spurs fans can have their jokes now, and fair play, it was pretty funny. Gunners fans will be hoping that Ceballos has them feeling less jovial when the two sides meet in the North London derby later this year.
