Arsenal fans can’t wait to see Aubameyang and Pepe in action

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has many Arsenal fans excited at the prospect of him linking up with new signing Nicolas Pepe after his latest comments about the Gunners’ club record signing.

Aubameyang scored the only goal of the game as Arsenal saw off Newcastle on the opening day of the season, and following the match the striker told the club’s official website how much he is looking forward to playing alongside Pepe in the future.

I’m looking forward to it, because he’s a really great player. He’s already shown in training that he’s capable of doing great things with us. Hopefully he will start soon.

Following his comments, many Arsenal supporters have taken to Twitter to express their excitement about the pair linking up this season for the Gunners alongside fellow forward Alexandre Lacazette.

The Gunners will no doubt be a force to be reckoned with once Aubameyang, Lacazette and Pepe are all fit and firing.

Aubameyang is already up and running for the campaign following his winning goal against Newcastle, and if his current goalscoring record for Arsenal is anything to go by, there will be plenty more to come this season.

Add to that the additional goal threat of Lacazette and new-boy Pepe, who was the second highest goalscorer in Ligue 1 last season behind Kylian Mbappe, and the Gunners could certainly be a free-scoring outfit this campaign.
