Arsenal in 2019/20 – Our season predictions

Arsenal get their 2019/20 season underway on Sunday afternoon when they travel to Newcastle United.

The Gunners will be in good spirits following a solid pre-season, and the fans have certainly been left excited by the club’s business in the summer transfer window.

A dramatic Deadline Day, capped by the signings of Kieran Tierney from Celtic and David Luiz from Chelsea, have seen Unai Emery’s two weakest positions strengthened, and optimism is of the essence heading into the new campaign.

The arrivals of Dani Ceballos, William Saliba and Nicolas Pepe have also provided reasons to be cheerful at the Emirates, but the hard work has only begun, with a crucial season ahead of the club.

Arsenal’s failure to qualify for the Champions League was unacceptable, and it must not happen again this time around.

But just what can be expected from the 2019/20 season? We have given our predictions on a wide range of different talking points ahead of this weekend’s curtain-raiser!
