The Winners and Losers in Arsenal’s proposed deal for Kieran Tierney

The Winners and Losers in Arsenal’s proposed deal for Kieran Tierney

Arsenal look set to complete the signing of highly-rated defender Kieran Tierney on deadline day.

The Gunners have been tracking the left-back for the majority of the summer, and the Scot will reportedly put pen to paper on a long-term deal at the Emirates, with a deal looking likely to cost £25 million.

The 22-year-old won eight major honours during his four-year professional stay at Celtic Park, cementing himself as a Hoops favourite during that time.

However, it looks as if he’ll be plying his trade in the Premier League in the immediate future, giving Unai Emery a solid option to rival current left-backs Nacho Monreal and Saed Kolasinac.

Tierney went under the knife for a double hernia op at the end of last season, so it is unsure as to when he’ll be ready to make his competitive Gunners debut.

Nonetheless, it is definitely an exciting addition by Arsenal, so we’ve decided to take a look at the ‘Winners and Losers’ in the proposed deal for the Scotland international.
