Iwobi’s departure will be a bittersweet move for all involved. He has given his all to Arsenal over the years, but with an offer like this on the table, it’s hardly surprising to see the club opt to sell him.
The winger had a good season under Unai Emery, but following the signing of Nicolas Pepe, it seems he has been deemed surplus to requirements following a blockbuster offer from Everton.
Although Arsenal don’t have time to add to their wide options after the proposed exit of Iwobi for around £40 million, it is too good an offer to turn down, and they’ve certainly got the better end of the deal here.
