Arsenal enjoyed a relatively successful pre-season. Friendly fixtures are never about the results, but more so the performances of individuals, and the young Gunners certainly put themselves in the limelight.
Unai Emery has overseen some big business this summer. Nicolas Pepe arrived in a club-record deal, while William Saliba was signed and then loaned back to Saint-Etienne for the season.
The Gunners fought off competition to sign Dani Ceballos from Real Madrid for the season, too, after landing highly-rated young attacker Gabriel Martinelli.
However, pre-season presented an opportunity for a host of promising talents to impress Emery, and plenty grabbed their chances with both hands, perhaps working their way into the manager’s thinking for the new season.
So, just who are the young Arsenal stars who caught the eye so much that they could feature in the 2019/20 campaign?
