Arsenal have reportedly rejected Everton’s surprise £30 million bid for winger Alex Iwobi.
However, the Toffees look set to return with a fresh bid for the Nigerian before the window closes, with Marco Silva exploring alternative options to former Arsenal target Wilfried Zaha.

The news on Wednesday came as a surprise to many Gunners fans, and plenty took to social media to share their views on the bid, believing the club should have accepted the offer for the 23-year-old.

After securing the services of Nicolas Pepe, Iwobi will find it even more difficult to break in and nail down a regular starting spot under Unai Emery.
Personally, I believe that a £30 million deal for Iwobi would be a great deal for the Gunners.
He’s struggled to perform at the level required in recent years and has frustrated fans with his lack of consistency.
A move could also allow Arsenal to push through deals for both Kieran Tierney and Dayot Upamecano, two defenders the Gunners are desperate to bring to the Emirates before the window closes.
Sacrificing Iwobi shouldn’t have a serious impact on Emery’s attacking options, and a move to Merseyside could be best for all parties involved.
Arsenal would be receiving a healthy fee, the player would have the chance to cement himself as a first-team regular in the Premier League, and Everton would be saving some money on a wide arrival, leaving Crystal Palace to keep hold of Wilfried Zaha.
