Arsenal fans call for Nelson to replace Everton target Iwobi

A number of youngsters have excelled in the Gunners’ pre-season fixtures in recent weeks, including Reiss Nelson.

The talented teenager has featured in the majority of games under Unai Emery following his impressive loan spell with Hoffenheim, scoring in the 1-1 draw with Angers.

Many have urged Emery to use the creative 19-year-old heavily during the upcoming campaign, and following Everton’s reported interest in Alex Iwobi, Gunners fans have once again been calling for Nelson.

Arsenal are thought to have rejected a £30 million bid from the Toffees, however, it appears as if plenty of Gunners fans are happy for the club to sell Iwobi and replace him with Nelson.

Many fans believe that Nelson is already ahead of Iwobi in terms of talent, and it is hard to argue against that statement.

The Englishman showcased his qualities in the Bundesliga last season and he now appears to be ready to play a regular role in the Premier League.

The pair possess similar attributes. They’re both happy with the ball at feet out wide and are capable of drifting infield to pick up a more central role.

And with Nelson four years younger than Iwobi, it would certainly be worth the Gunners considering cashing in on the Nigerian, which would then speed up Nelson’s development at the Emirates.

The cash received for Iwobi could then go towards completing defensive additions and would leave Arsenal fans extremely excited ahead of the new campaign.
