Former Tottenham midfielder Jamie O’Hara has done his bit to rile up Arsenal supporters in the wake of Nicolas Pepe’s move to the club.
Speaking on talkSPORT, the former Spurs player was adamant that the Gunners’ summer window has not been as successful as some are making it out to be.
Pepe’s move to London was confirmed on Thursday in a club-record deal and it’s fair to say it got the Emirates faithful excited.
O’Hara on the other hand, gave his view on the current situation at the club:
Pepe is a very good player, but he’s not proven in the Premier League. They’ve signed Ceballos from Real Madrid, but they’ve lost Ramsey. All they’ve done is lost one, brought one in.

On face value, you can see where O’Hara is coming from in the sense that the club have lost a brilliant midfielder in Ramsey, but the Pepe deal represents much more than just another attacker joining the ranks.
At a time where Arsenal fans were losing hope in the club, in the board, they have reacted and shown their ambition at a crucial stage of the summer as they seek a return to the Champions League.
While O’Hara questioned the future of Laurent Koscienly, one must acknowledge that the club still have time to manoeuvre in the market. The rumours linking the club to Daniele Rugani are a positive step and if the Gunners can get another defender in that will allow the Frenchman to move, it has to be considered as a successful window for Emery’s side.
