Arsenal will be aiming to keep the recent positivity going when they face Lyon in the Emirates Cup Final at their home ground in North London.
After only signing Gabriel Martinelli up until this week, the Gunners made a double swoop of William Saliba and Daniel Ceballos. The latter could make his debut tomorrow as well.
They are also closing in on the signature of talented winger Nicolas Pepe from French side LOSC Lille.
Now, this positive news can be turned into real optimism ahead of the season if Unai Emery’s men deliver a good performance against Lyon on Sunday.
Their pre-season has been decent at best so far, however, a win against a side with the calibre of Lyon would enhance the confidence within the squad.
In terms of team news, Ceballos could make a bench appearance tomorrow, while Shkodran Mustafi could be back in the starting XI. Matteo Guendouzi has just returned to training and is not expected to take any part in this game.
