# Arsenal Player Ratings: Real Madrid (N)

Arsenal ended their pre-seaosn tour in America with a disappointing penalty shootout defeat to Real Madrid.

The Gunners were handed an early boost after Madrid defender Nacho Fernandez received his marching orders after just five minutes, with Arsenal taking full advantage of being a man up.

Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang put Unai Emery’s side 2-0 up, however, Sokratis then received a red card of his own shortly before half time.

Madrid then capitalised in the second half, with Gareth Bale and Marco Asensio scoring in the space of three minutes to level the match.

Arsenal had some great chances to win it, however, the game finished level and went straight to penalties.

Granit Xhaka, Nacho Monreal and Robbie Burton all missed from 12 yards, with Madrid eventually winning the shootout 3-2.

Arsenal will now return for the traditional Emirates Cup in London, but before that, we’ve decided to take a look at how all 16 players fared against Madrid in the states.
