After getting the better of Bayern Munich, Arsenal continue their pre-season campaign with a game against Italian side Fiorentina in the International Champions Cup in North Carolina.
Manager Unai Emery has used players in a clever manner so far, handing chances to youngsters to impress and getting established players on the field when required.
This is the first time these two teams will have met since a group stage clash during the 1999/00 European Cup.
While Arsenal’s defence is a cause of worry, they have looked good going forward, with young players showing what they can do if given a chance.
So, we can expect the manager to mix up the team selection for Saturday night’s game and test everyone out against a decent Fiorentina side.
In terms of team news, Hector Bellerin and Laurent Koscielny are unavailable for selection.
Here’s how we think Emery may line his team up:
GK - Bernd Leno
The Arsenal number one featured against Bayern Munich and is in line to do the same against Fiorentina. He will hope to shut the Viola’s attack out.
RB - Carl Jenkinson
He played the first pre-season game but didn’t even get a minute against Bayern. So, we could see him in action tomorrow.
CB - Calum Chambers
The youngster has featured in both the pre-season games so far. He is in line to do the same in North Carolina.
CB - Sokratis
The Greece international didn’t play the first game and started against Bayern. Emery may hand him another start to get match fitness.
LB - Sead Kolasinac
He has come off the bench in both games so far. The manager should hand him a start against Fiorentina.
CM - Joe Willock
The youngster has impressed in the pre-season. Willock deserves to keep getting his chance to shine.
CM - Granit Xhaka
Xhaka played against Bayern and did well. He could get another start against Fiorentina tomorrow.
RW - Henrikh Mkhitaryan
The Armenia international featured against Bayern and is in line to get another chance tomorrow night. He needs to step up and prove his worth.
CAM - Mesut Ozil
The former Germany international has played in both pre-season games so far. The manager could hand him his second start to get his sharpness back.
LW - Bukayo Saka
The youngster has impressed for Arsenal during this pre-season and deserves to get a start. He could stake his claim for a place in Emery’s plans ahead of next season.
ST - Eddie Nketiah
Nketiah is another youngster who has done well in the two pre-season games. He is in line to lead the attack against Fiorentina.
