Celtic boss Neil Lennon has hinted that the Hoops value defender Kieran Tierney at over £50 million, in relation to other transfer deals completed this Summer.
Tierney has been a target for the Gunners this window, with Arsenal looking to complete a £25 million move for the young Scot.
However, Celtic have so far rejected all the approaches for Tierney, with Celtic demanding a high fee for the defender.
Now, Celtic boss Neil Lennon has revealed that Celtic could value Tierney as high as £50 million.
This is down to the fact players such as Aaron Wan-Bissaka are being sold for over £50 million, with the Hoops rating Tierney as a better player than the former Crystal Palace man.

Speaking ahead of Celtic’s UEFA Champions League qualifier against FK Sarajevo, Lennon confirmed that the Hoops had rejected another bid, and revealed that Arsenal are still wide of the mark.
Lennon said, via Football London:
I don’t know what Arsenal’s financial state is, I know what ours is and we’re quite comfortable with the situation at the minute.
We know there’s been a second bid, the bid’s been rejected and it’s as you were.
Lennon also confirmed how much he feels Tierney is worth in the current market.
£50million for [Aaron] Wan-Bissaka is a lot of money and we feel that Kieran is a far more experienced and rounded full-back at this juncture in his career.
He’s an asset for us and we do have a value for the player and we rate the player very highly.
We’re certainly not going to be pushed over in any negotiations and we’re in a very strong position with regard to a number of our assets in the team.
So should Arsenal continue their pursuit of the Scot?
It’s fair to say it’s been rough so far for Arsenal in the window, with deals for Zaha and Tierney being tough to complete.
However, Tierney should be likely to leave the Hoops this summer, and Arsenal may yet be close on a deal.
They certainly shouldn’t be spending £50 million on him though, given the Gunners issues elsewhere on the pitch, and their limited budget this season.
