Real Madrid midfielder Dani Ceballos has dramatically chosen a move to Arsenal over Tottenham – but is it the right move for all involved?

According to Spanish outlet AS, the 22-year-old has decided to link up with Unai Emery at the Emirates on a season-long loan.

The report claims that a deal is just one step away, with the midfielder expected to become the Gunners’ second summer signing.

Tottenham were thought to be leading the race for the creative midfielder, so the latest news will come as a major shock to Arsenal’s rivals.

However, is a proposed season-long loan deal for Ceballos the right move for all involved?

The Spaniard recently played a starring role in his country’s Under-21 European Championship triumph and showcased his impressive qualities in numerous fixtures.

Ceballos will bring plenty of flair and creativity to the Emirates and looks set to get regular game time, something he was struggling to find at the Bernabeu.

The Gunners, who are under a tight transfer budget, will be getting themselves a talented midfielder without spending a hefty transfer fee, even if it is just for the upcoming campaign.

The player himself will have the chance to prove himself on loan in the Premier League, with the Spaniard keen on cementing his place in the Madrid side in years to come.

Overall, a move for Ceballos will benefit both sides and the player himself, so the only party who won’t be happy are Tottenham.
