# Arsenal send doctor to Brazil to complete Everton medical – would he improve the squad?

Arsenal have reportedly sent a club doctor to Brazil to complete Everton’s medical – but would the wide man improve Unai Emery’s current options?

According to [Radio Grenal, cited by Sports Witness](https://sportwitness.co.uk/arsenal-doctor-flying-brazil-player-can-gunners-medical-big-claims-transfer/), the Gunners official will meet Everton in Porto Alegre later this week to complete the medical formalities ahead of a proposed move.

A deal hasn’t officially been confirmed by either Arsenal or Gremio, however, it appears that a proposed move is edging closer following the latest news.

Everton enjoyed a fantastic individual season in his homeland of Brazil last season with Gremio and played a starring role in Brazil’s recent Copa America triumph.

The 23-year-old would be an excellent addition at the Emirates, with Emery currently short of wide options.

He regularly gets the better of defenders in one-on-one situations, something that has been missing in London for numerous years.

Everton’s breakthrough tournament at the Copa America has alerted numerous sides across Europe, so signing the Brazilian would be a real coup by the Gunners.

Technically excellent, Everton could prove to be a cheaper and potentially better option to long-term target Wilfried Zaha.
