# Ryan Fraser could leave on a free next summer – should Arsenal wait?

Bournemouth are reportedly considering whether or not to let Ryan Fraser see out the final year of his contract and leave on a free next summer.

[According to The Daily Mail,](https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-7239925/Bournemouth-considering-letting-Ryan-Fraser-leave-free-summer.html) Bournemouth are tempted to reject offers from Arsenal and keep him at the club for another season.

The report claims that Arsenal are interested in signing Fraser and have made him one of their top targets ahead of the 2019/20 campaign, as Unai Emery looks to strengthen his squad.

Fraser caught the eye with his performances for Bournemouth in the Premier League last season, with Chelsea’s Eden Hazard the only player to set up more goals in the division.

But, Arsenal could now have to decide whether to pursue other targets or wait a year to sign Fraser on a free transfer.

The Gunners are said to be eyeing up a deal for Crystal Palace forward Wilfried Zaha, but the Ivorian international could be outside of Arsenal’s price range at this moment in time.

It would make sense for Arsenal, if Bournemouth decide to let him run down his contract, to sign a cheaper option this summer before making their move for Fraser once he becomes a free agent.

Arsenal could swoop for someone like Jarrod Bowen at Hull to add some depth to their options out wide, before being able to sign Fraser in a year’s time. Bowen is reportedly available for a fee in the region of [£12m](https://metro.co.uk/2019/07/01/arsenal-plot-12m-bid-hull-citys-jarrod-bowen-10099828/) after scoring 22 Championship goals for Hull last season.
