Tottenham are reportedly leading multiple numerous giants, including Arsenal, in the race to sign Dani Olmo – but should the Gunners make a move?

According to Spanish outlet AS, cited by the Daily Star, Spurs are in pole position to sign the highly-rated 21-year-old, with the Gunners, Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester United all previously linked with the player.

There’s no doubting that Olmo would be a brilliant addition at the Emirates.

The former Barcelona youth player has similar qualities to Aaron Ramsey, who Arsenal desperately need to replace ahead of the new season.

The midfielder has a real eye for goal and stood out with his ability to carry the ball past numerous defenders with ease during Spain’s recent Under 21 European Championship triumph.

The only problem Arsenal may face however could be Zagreb’s demands.

Spurs are thought to be offering around £27 million, and with Unai Emery having just £45 million available to him this summer, the Spaniard may well be overlooked during the current window.

Arsenal need to bolster their midfield options and their defensive ranks this summer, however, a move for Olmo may well be one Emery decides to pass up on due to the tight summer budget.
