# Arsenal eye Malcom but only on loan – is he worth the risk of a permanent deal?

Arsenal reportedly want to sign Malcom on loan from Barcelona this summer, but would he but worth the risk of a permanent deal?

[According to Sport,](https://www.sport.es/es/noticias/barca/malcom-resiste-salir-del-barca-elige-destino-7532211) the Gunners are keen on a summer swoop for the Brazilian, but only if they can land him on loan initially.

Barcelona on the other hand, want to offload the player permanently, but it may be a risk that is simply not worth taking for the Gunners.

Arsenal are searching for reinforcements out wide but any potential permanent deal for Malcom is likely to take up a large chunk, if not all of their transfer budget.

Malcom has failed to impress during his short time at Barcelona and there are simply no guarantees that this would be money well spent from Arsenal.

When compared to someone like Wilfried Zaha, who the Gunners would have to spend a little bit more to land, they could rest easy knowing the calibre of playing that they would be signing.

If they can land Malcom on loan, it certainly looks like a deal worth doing, but Arsenal should steer clear of a permanent move for now.
