Yacine Brahimi would be an ideal summer signing for Arsenal, adding quality in an area of the pitch where it is lacking currently.
According to La Gazette du Fennec, via Sport Witness, the Gunners are in ‘very advanced negotiations’ with the Porto winger.
The Algerian is available on a free transfer, although he is expected to demand big wages.
Arsenal have been linked with numerous wide players this summer, from including Wilfried Zaha and Ryan Fraser.
It seems apparent that Unai Emery wants to add another extra attacking dimension to his team, and the links with left-sided Brahimi are exciting.
A superb dribbler with an eye for goal – he has scored 53 times in 209 matches for Porto – he would bring the directness and end product that Arsenal don’t have on the flanks.
At 29, Brahimi admittedly wouldn’t be a long-term fix, but considering he would arrive on a free and is still in his prime, it is a no-brainer.
