# Arsenal target Hassaini rejects PSG move – is it time for the Gunners to act?

Arsenal target Bilel Hassaini has turned down a move to French champions Paris Saint-Germain – so should the Gunners now make their move for the teenager?

According to both Paris United and RMC, cited by [GFFN](https://www.getfootballnewsfrance.com/2019/psg-not-signing-bilel-hassaini/), the AS Nancy midfielder has turned down a move to the Parc des Princes following advanced discussions.

Arsenal and Barcelona are now the frontrunners to secure the services of the highly-rated 18-year-old, with Crystal Palace also keen on the player.

It is no secret that Gunners boss Unai Emery is desperate to add to his midfield options ahead of the new season, however, a deal for Hassaini would more than likely see the player placed in the academy setup.

The attacking midfielder is regarded as a future star in France, despite never turning out in a first-team encounter, so Arsenal should consider firming up their initial interest with a formal offer.

A potential deal wouldn’t be expensive either, with AS Nancy happy to part ways with the midfielder due to their financial problems.

The Gunners have plenty of positive experience in bringing French prospects to London, so even though Hassaini wouldn’t be an immediate first-team inclusion, the teenager could prove to be another great piece of business.
