Arsenal have reportedly made an offer for exciting French winger Bilel Hassaini – but would the teenager be a sensible signing by the Gunners?
According to French outlet Foot Mercato, relayed in an article by HITC, Arsenal have made an offer for the 18-year-old, who currently plies his trade with Ligue 2 side AS Nancy.
Fellow Premier League side Crystal Palace have also made a bid, with French giants Paris Saint-Germain also thought to be keen.
Hassaini has never turned out in a first-team encounter for his current side, and if successful, the Gunners would look to place the teenager into their Under-23 set-up at London Colney.
Unai Emery desperately needs multiple first-team incomings at the Emirates over the summer, with reinforcements at the back looking like a priority.
However, with Hassaini regarded as a future star, and Arsenal limited in wide options, perhaps the Gunners’ pursuing a move for the teenager is a smart idea, with the teenager possibly breaking into the first-team squad over the coming years.
Arsenal could land Hassaini for an extremely cheap fee this summer, and following their history of bringing exciting French teenagers to London, a move could prove to be another impressive piece of business by the Gunners in the long run.
